Jonathan Dickinson State Park won second place for Best State Park for RVers in the 2021 USA Today Readers' Choice Travel Awards.

With more than 100 RV sites across two campgrounds, Jonathan Dickinson offers everything campers need to spread out and explore the park.

The Pine Grove Campground is located on the east side of the park and has 92 sites available for reservation, while the River Campground has 52 sites and is located near the Loxahatchee River, about 4 miles from the park's main entrance. Both locations include electricity, tables, water and a grill, as well as a large tiled restroom with showers and a washer and dryer. All Pine Grove campsites include a sewer hookup. A dump station is located in the Pine Grove campground.

In addition to the amenities located within the campsites, many experiences are available in the park for guests to enjoy. Popular activities include bicycling, mountain biking, bird-watching, boating, boat tours, camping, fishing and geocaching.

Tours offer a great way to begin an adventure at Jonathan Dickinson State Park. There are a variety of tours available, including boat tours and seasonal guided horseback tours.

For those who prefer to hoof it, there's Hobe Mountain, an ancient sand dune that rises 86 feet above the sea level and is the highest natural point south of Lake Okeechobee. Hobe Mountain is part of a chain of dunes and hills that run parallel to the South Florida coastline. The mountain itself is an amazing piece of Florida topography, and the view from the top of the Hobe Mountain Tower is breathtaking. While on top of the tower, visitors have a panoramic view of the park, Highway A1A and the Atlantic Ocean.

If you'd like to sit back and enjoy the scenery, a boat tour might be for you. The boat tour takes visitors on a 90-minute ride down the Loxahatchee River with a stop at the restored 1930s camp of Trapper Nelson, the Wildman of Loxahatchee.

If you are looking for a little more adventure, a guided horseback ride (available Thanksgiving to Easter) may be how you want to experience our park. These trail rides allow visitors an uninterrupted 60 minutes to explore the meandering back roads and the idyllic scenery.
